Planning Applications
Once an abandoned rural dwelling, Burnetts Cottage has been thoughtfully reinstated and sensitively extended into a family home full of character. With the residential use having been abandoned for decades, and the site being located in the open countryside, its restoration and reoccupation for residential use was contrary to local plan policy. Our heritage-led approach recognised the cottage as a non-designated heritage asset, allowing us to secure planning permission under national heritage policy. The result is a distinctive home that celebrates its historic fabric while delivering modern comfort – a testament to collaboration between client, consultant, and the local authority.
